A diverse group of cyclists and supporters showed up on Jan. 14 for the worldwide "Ride to Bring Them Home" on the hostages' 100th day in captivity. Gershon Stark put out the word, and the group gathered at Lippitt Memorial Park on Blackstone Boulevard, in Providence, on a cold Sunday morning. Stark reports that the international event was a success, and he felt that "just like a Mitzvah, you do not know which small act can have the greatest impact."
