At the Jewish Community Center

On May 9, members of the Rhode Island Jewish community celebrated Israeli's 71st birthday with music, food and dancing in the field behind the Dwares Jewish Community Center in Providence. On May 9, Brown RISD Hillel students, staff and guests enjoyed a full day of themed activities in celebration of Israel's independence. Rabbi Alex Weissman led an exploration of Israeli poetry. Standing together against hate

About 400 people attended a vigil Tuesday evening, March 26, at the Hebrew Cemetery in Fall River. They came together to speak out against the recent hate-filled vandalism at the cemetery where a number of headstones were defaced.
