Rabbi Barry Dolinger of Congregation Beth Shalom in Providence has been chosen to participate in the 2019-2020 cohort of the LEAP Fellowship, created by Clal and the Herbert D. Katz Center for Advanced Judaic Studies at the University of Pennsylvania. He will be a Katz Family Fellow in the program, which will have its first formal meeting in December.

The theme of this year’s program is “The Jewish Home: Dwelling on the Domestic, the Familial and the Lived-in.” During the program, which meets for three, two-day sessions over the course of a year, the focus will be devoted to the home, seeking to shed light on this most formative and intimate context for Jewish life.

Rabbi Dolinger has been the spiritual leader of Congregation Beth Shalom since 2011.
