Learn about anti-Semitism

Posted

Delve into hate and anti-Semitism April 7 at Temple Shalom in Middletown. What is anti-Semitism and how does it fit into a larger landscape of American racism, xenophobia and white nationalism. Why do we sometimes find it so confusing. Is new anti-Semitism different from the old form? Is right-wing anti-Semitism different from left-wing?

Rabbi Lev Meierowitz Nelson, director of rabbinic training at T’ruah: The Rabbinic Call for Human Rights, will speak and discuss overcoming anti-Semitism as well. The program begins at 1 p.m. with a dairy lunch. The presentation takes place at 2, dessert and coffee follows at 3:15. Funding is provided by the Bazarsky Family Foundation. Reservations are required by April 1. Contact Fran Mendell at 401-846-6549 or Linda Nathanson at 401-849-1987 for more information or to reserve. Temple Shalom is at 222 Valley Road, Middletown.
