Happy Birthday Israel

Posted

On May 9, Providence Hebrew Day School students celebrated Yom Ha’Atzmaut. Students in Grades 1-6 enjoyed a tour (via Skype) of special sites in Israel, led by the staff of Erez Chemdah. They then created beautiful and edible  models of Kever Rochel (Rachel’s Tomb) out of graham crackers, fluff and macaroons. What a yummy and sticky treat!

Students in Grades 7 and 8 enjoyed an Israel trivia game in honor of this special day.  Hebrew Language teachers Ilana Benz and Janice Rosenfield coordinated this special programming that the whole school enjoyed.
